Description

Traditional log cabin situated in primeval forest in Kylmäluoma recreational area.

One room, kitchenette and alcove. Gas stove (no oven), cellar. Household water from lake. Indoor sauna. No neighbor.
Shore suitable for swimming. Jetty, rowing boat and life jackets. Site for open fire, smoke oven. Dog house. Smoking not allowed in a cabin.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling (+358 40 500 3476). Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.

Kylmäluoma recreational center 14 km, with restaurant and grocery shop. Bus stop 20 km (road No. 840) or 11 km (highway No 5). Kuusamo airport 85 km. Ruka resort 90 km. Taivalkoski/Taivalvaara ski resort 40 km.
Lake Kylmäluomajärvi has clear water with a sandy bottom and deep in some places. Ice fishing is popular activity. Hiking trails, ski trails and snowmobile routes are close to cottage. Trails and roads are very suitable for biking. Good berry and mushroom picking terrains. Hossa – Iso-Syöte snowmobile track close by the cabin.

The cabin can be reached by car during the summer, distance in winter 10 (by skiing).

KEYS: You can get the keys at the reception of the camping center during opening hours. There is also a key box next to the cottage's front door. The code for the key box will be sent to your email on the day of arrival. If you do not receive an email, confirm the code by phone +358 (0)40 500 3476.
